The first-place winner of the 'Hack The Mainframe' Security Hackathon: I had submitted working code which enhanced one of the flagship BMC AMI Security products ‘BMC AMI Defender’ with a Supervisor Call (SVC) screener that automatically identified any changes to SVCs which didn't match their authorizations. The enhancement not only identified a very serious problem that the BMC Mainframe Services team sees during security assessments but was directly delivered to customers in the July 2021 release. This was the first Security Hackathon conducted by BMC. The Hackathon witnessed 25 BMC Security specialists testing their metal and, in the process completing over 35 submissions – turning into new innovations spanning the BMC AMI Security portfolio.

Proudly represented the whole of the BMC Mainframe Business Unit at the Virtual TWIIST 2021 event when my innovative use case titled ‘SVC Screener’ was selected and featured as the only use case from the entire BMC Mainframe Business Unit to be showcased during the event – my use case featured the technology and framework of the solution that offers an enhanced customer experience. There were only six use-cases that were featured in the BMC Virtual TWIIST 2021 event.

My MVP (Minimum Viable Product) PoC (Proof-of-Concept) project “SmartINSTALL Application” secured the SECOND position in the BMC zSolutions 4Q21 Product Install Hackathon. The SmartINSTALL Application leveraged the BMC Helix Chatbot’s infused AI/ML services and capabilities to deliver an enhanced, improved, lightning fast ‘intuitive, seamless and user-friendly’ product installation experience for the customer. We had demonstrated how the use of the SmartINSTALL application results in a staggering 99% productivity gain with regards to the installation of the BMC zSolutions products (our MVP PoC dealt with the ‘BMC AMI Defender for z/OS’ product) - and, even better, this 99% productivity gain could be realized by someone who have had absolutely no experience of installing the ‘BMC AMI Defender for z/OS’ product previously!

I feel extremely proud to be on the BMC Cares 2021 and 2022 Volunteering Club’s Community Star level. I have always felt so very inspired to keep supporting global causes and strengthening our communities, while putting in efforts to help change lives and make this world a better place. It gives me immense pleasure to be able to continuously contribute my time, energy, efforts, and resources with full enthusiasm, thereby playing a role in making this world a better place through supporting some great causes across the globe. Additionally, employees may also have some concerns that they would like to bring attention to. BMC believes that such employees would benefit from a venue to express themselves freely.
BMC Software had established EmPulse with a clear vision to Prioritize its People while in the pursuit of making BMC an ‘Aspirational Technology Brand’. All BMC'ers are at the heart of this vision and play a key role in strengthening the culture and driving a positive change. The EmPulse Champions act as the voice of all BMC'ers. They will be actively listening to the employees' thoughts and suggestions. The EmPulse Program is all about empowering the EmPulse Champions to act as the voice of all BMC employees to drive positive changes at BMC by bridging the gap between the BMC'ers and leadership. The EmPulse Champions will be actively listening to the employees' thoughts, concerns, and suggestions to bring their perspectives to the table, helping shape the future of BMC. At BMC, we believe that by empowering our employees, we can create a stronger, more innovative company, and through EmPulse, we're committed to creating a culture where everyone feels heard and valued.
Therefore, with a new mission to help employee voices be heard, BMC launched the EmPulse program, where BMC employees were called upon to act as representatives of the entire employee cohort. These Employee Champions are the voices of BMC people and are committed to influencing positive change, building connections with their peers, and leading by example. The Employee Champions were selected through a selection process of self-nominations and nominations from BU leaders. I feel extremely proud to be selected among one of the final EmPulse Employee Champions.
My goal as an Employee Champion is to help BMC be a Greater Place to Be! I will be the go-to people for BMC employees who wish to bring to light any ideas that they believe need to be acknowledged. I will be leading a movement aimed at providing a more harmonious and nurturing environment to all BMC employees. I will engage with the employees to bring disruptive changes that can accelerate the movement of BMC towards an Aspirational Tech Brand!

The BMC India Operational Excellence Idea Submission challenge was launched during September 2022 with the aim to capture Voice of Customer & Voice of Process that will encourage feedback-driven improvements within BMC. As part of the event, unique innovative and transformative ideas to improve operational processes anywhere within BMC were encouraged to be submitted – the ideas were supposed to be around achieving operational efficiency or process improvements anywhere within BMC. Operational Excellence is one of the five pillars of FY23 VSEM (Vision, Strategy, Execution, Metrics) for BMC India where we leverage digital transformation & automation to achieve continuous improvements in our organizational processes.
My contribution towards the success of the event was recognized and appreciated
during the FY23 Q3 India Happy Minds Meet (the BMC India ‘All-Hands’ Meet) when I was
adjudged the ‘TOP SCORER’ of the IZOT (Intelligent Z Optimization and Transformation)
BU.

The BMC India VSEM (Vision Strategy Execution Metrics) is a concise vehicle to articulate the BMC India strategic vision and priorities. The India VSEM League was introduced at the beginning of FY25 to motivate maximum employee participation in the India VSEM activities from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025. The initiative called The India VSEM League is a gamified way for employees to take part in many of the India VSEM related activities.
I was declared the Winner of the FY25 Q1 India VSEM League.

As part of the Amplify BMC Brand India VSEM initiatives, a unique program called the NextGen Tech Advocates program, aimed at resetting the perception of BMC - from being a legacy organization to a future-focused, tech-enabled NewBMC was kicked off during 2024.
I was nominated by my leaders as a ‘NextGen Tech Advocate’ to significantly amplify the
BMC brand. As a ‘NextGen Tech Advocate’, my knowledge and expertise was crucial in
driving the brand BMC forward.
